DESCRIPTION:
Heart & Stroke certificate - For providers who give care to patients in both in-facility and pre-hospital settings (eg - doctors, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, naturopaths, etc.) You will learn single and multi-rescuer skills with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. Current certification is often required for employment in the healthcare field.

DESCRIPTION:
Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. The "blended" option allows the learner to maximize time by studying the theory portion at home (approximately 4 hours) and then come in for the hands-on practical in class portion (4 hours) which is 8 hours total.

DESCRIPTION:
A blended course consists of an online/theory portion which can be completed at home at your own pace as well as the in class portion which consists of hands-on learning. The only requirement is you MUST complete the theory portion before attending the in-class session. This is the perfect for people with busy schedules. Course duration is 16 hours total (8 hours online; and 8 hours in class). The course covers First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies.

When there is a confined space in the workplace, all workers in that workplace require Confined Space Awareness training as well as workplace-specific training.
This online course identifies the characteristics of a confined space, describes the risks associated with working in a confined space and the prescribed methods for controlling those risks, and explains the documentation requirements pertaining to confined space work.
This course should be provided to all workers in a workplace that contains a confined space. It meets the requirements for Awareness Level training.
